Piperine
is a newOrganic pesticides product which is newly
developed. This article will introduce this latest product to you as
well as its superior performance in terms of organic pesticide.
Character:Piperine exists in black pepper seeds and the content is 7% to 9%.
Black pepper seeds are mixed withlime milk after crushed, heated, and
evaporated to dry, then use ether to extract residue and obtain piperine
after the ether is steamed. The product is light yellow or white
powder, melting point 128-129 ℃,relative density 1.193, insoluble in
water and petroleum ether, but soluble inbenzene and acetic acid. The
product has the weak alkaline and can generate piperic acid and
piperidine by acid hydrolysis.
Piperine Toxicity: According to the national standards of pesticide toxicity grading, it belongs to low toxicity synergistic agent.
Piperine Function characteristics:Whenproduct
firstly is used to housefly, the effect is similar to pyrethrin’s,doing
damage to the insect brain cellulose, but the characteristics of
thepyrethrum is wide combination of brain nuclear colourant. According
topreliminary histologic study, the scientists found that the
characteristic roleof Piperine is the influence on the central nervous
system and muscle tissue ofhousefly, its original use shows that the
damage to the brain fiber and it hasthe function of inducing dissolved
cell, which is quite different from the roleof pyrethrum.
Application: Piperine has the contact actionagainst insects and the toxicity to
housefly is stronger than pyrethrum’s. Whencombined with the pyrethrum,
it has a good synergistic effect.
In the experiment of preventingand controlling housefly(Completed by Plamed Green Science Limited cooperating with Northwest A & F University),
add 0.025 grams, 0.050 grams, 0.100grams pyrethrins in 100 mls kerosene
separately, housefly mortality rates are19%, 30%, 50%.When combined
with piperine, 0.025 grams pyrethrins and 0.250 grams Piperine are added
into 100 mls kerosene, housefly mortality rates are ashigh as 91%. It
follows that Piperine has a good synergistic effect on pyrethrum.
Precautions for use
(1) Piperine is safe for human and animals. Don’t need special protective measures when used.
(2) Stored in a cool & dry well-closed container, keep away from moisture and stronglight/heat.
(3) The dosage of Piperine when used as synergistic agent should be on the basis of the requirements of pesticide product.
